The faith formation textbook is one of many valuable tools in the endeavor of Evangelization and Catechesis. The Diocese of Phoenix does not recommend a specific textbooks series, but, rather, asks that parishes evaluate and use texts that are on the conformity list of the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops. To that end, catechetical leaders may find “How to Choose Catechetical Textbooks: Process and Criteria” a helpful evaluative tool for choosing an appropriate textbook for the parish community. The National Conference of Catechetical Leadership publishes this resource which can be obtained by contacting the NCCL at www.nccl.org or by calling 202-636-3826.
